A Hole in one!
August 3, 2009Dan Hinz aced the Par 3, 173-yard fifth hole at Pinetop Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 1, during the 21st Annual Northland Pioneer College Foundation Golf Tournament. Using a 6 iron, Dan’s shot hit about a yard and a half shy of the pin, then rolled in for the ace.

Northland Pioneer College Foundation’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament
The NPC Foundation raised over $12,500 at its annual golf tournament this past Saturday. One of the players even got a hole-in-one and won a free 3 year car lease! All the participants had lots of fun and helped raise scholarship money for our students. Great job!

Wal-Mart Donates to the NPC Foundation
June 11, 2009On June 11, 2009, Alice Graham of Winslow, Board Member for the NPC Foundation, reported great news that Wal-Mart was donating $1,000.00 to the Foundation. Chris Alexander, the Winslow Store Manager, presented the check from the Wal-Mart Foundation to Lance Chugg, Executive Director of the Foundation, and to the Grahams.

NPC Foundation Arts & Artifacts Auction
May 2, 2009Area residents and businesses opened their hearts and their wallets in support of Northland Pioneer College students at the recent NPC Foundation Art & Artifacts Auction. Despite the flagging economy, more than 70 persons attended the May 2 college foundation fundraiser that brought in $13,300, the second highest total in the auction’s 13-year history.
